2D illustrations inspired by songs and movies that reminds me of storybook drawings and fictional worlds.
Meteor Shower
A piece inspired by the song with the same title by Cavetown. The track exudes a nostalgic feeling that I really gravitated towards – it reminded me of being alone with a special person, a loved one or a romantic interest, surrounded by nothing but the earth.
Mountain Giants
This piece draws inspiration from the “earth giant” characters from Disney’s Frozen II. I also drew a lot of inspiration from the story books I used to read when I was a kid. I wanted the artwork to emulate the same feeling of excitement I felt then burning through one story book after another, fixated on the drawings—wishing I was a part of the fictional world I was looking at.
Fly Me To The Moon
An artwork heavily inspired by the song with the same title by Frank Sinatra. A little fun fact, I actually had the song playing on repeat when I drafted this.
